Christal, R. E. The United States Air Force Occupational Research
Project. In The state of the art in occupational research and development.
Symposium presented at the Navy Personnel Research and Development
Center, San Diego, Calif., July 10-12, 1973.
Some aspects about the techniques developed by the Air Force
for collecting, analyzing, and reporting occupational data are
reported. The job inventory method of collecting work-task information
from large numbers of workers is described. This technique was
chosen by the Air Force because of its economy, the quantiti-fication
of the job data and subsequent ease of handling by computer, and
the fact that the information can be validated and checked for
stability.
