FishCo Review - " I have been an aquarium enthusiast since I was just a boy. My father was a salt-water hobbyist and I spent a lot of my free time in fish stores because of this. I felt the need to write this review of FishCo because nobody has commented on just how real Fishco is. All of the fish you can purchase are actual fish, that you could find at the pet store. The breeds that will eat
smaller species will in fact do that in real life. Fish will in fact eat as much as you give them, to the point where you can kill a fish from overfeeding. I haven't killed any fish yet, but the fact they seem always hungry is true to life. I would even go so far as to say that if you were looking to start an aquarium, Fishco is a good place to start to learn about maintenance and fish behaviors. Fishco is a masterfully done representation of domesticated aquatic life, and anybody that likes
fish would be doing themselves a disservice not to check out Fishco." - Argosy
FishCo Review - "This is a Fish Tycoon for the impatient gamer. Fishco has the same relaxing fish theme but instead of waiting for things to gradually happen game play is more like Farm Frenzy once your second tank is introduced. Your fishes require constant maintenance and are incredibly hungry things, willing to eat their fellow fishy friends if you aren't careful. And getting the best price for your fishes means letting them grow up
and keeping them happy.
Once you finish the first few levels of Fishco you have a whole range of gameplay options from breeding to fish options and multiple tanks.
I enjoyed the graphics, the game play, the fish. The three different game options in FishCo was a very nice addition I think more games should include. My only complaint was that the levels in Fishco didn't allow you to continue from your old tank. You start with a new tank every round, like a fresh farm in Farm Frenzy. It makes the game more challenging but I really like having my previous levels count for more. That's a personal quirk though and definitely not a reason to not try
Fishco out if you like tycoon games or fish games." - Dream Queen
FishCo Review - "Fishco is a relaxing and very fun game. It's also surprisingly challenging. Like many games it has it's dull moments (waiting for the fish to grow, you are just cleaning the tank and feeding over and over until they can sell). Basically you buy fish eggs for your pet shop aquarium and you take care of the fish until they are large enough to sell. You want to make the best possible profit on them so you have to keep
their tanks clean and keep them well fed and happy. Like real fish, these die, get sick and attack each other. In Fishco you learn about the different types of fish. You learn which ones can be together and which ones can't. Some fish of the same species will attack each other and even eat their own young if they get too hungry. You have daily goals set that provide the actual challege. This include a set number of items to buy for your aquaium, or fish to breed and/or sell. The graphics in
Fishco are pretty good and it definitely has a realistic feel. Fishco is definitely a game to try and it's one you can play over an over. It's relaxing." - Blue Darter
FishCo Review - "Fishco is similar to Fish Tycoon in concept, but the gameplay also reminds me of Build A Lot. The idea is simple; just fulfill the goals before time runs out. Usually that means breeding and growing specific fish, buying certain upgrades, earning a certain amount of money, etc. That's the part that's very similar to Build A Lot. In fact I would say Fishco has more in common with Build A Lot than with Fish Tycoon. In any
case, the levels get more challenging as you go on, until it gets fairly hard to get expert time on first try. Great game! Graphics are awesome. The sound in Fishco is good until you get the fireworks at the end, which are too loud and sound like gunfire." - Gamer 4
FishCo Review - " Fishco is almost as good as the real thing. I just sit back and watch fish swim. It's a bit too easy to take care of the fish here, and I happen to have no idea how to take care of sick fish in real life.
Here is what really great about Fishco; says me, the dude who never owned a real aquarium. I did not get as upset as if I saw actual fish float on its back (I dislike using the word "dead").
Yet Fishco does not cost as much as the actual aquarium. Well, I never owned one. Have you got a minute and no real aquarium? Then try playing Fishco. It's great!" - Optimus Prime
