This site is dedicated to
facilitating your dream tour of Egypt. Deir el Medina, the village of the workmen who built the tombs of the Pharaohs, is one of the most important sites in Egypt. The village existed for several hundred years and many written records were kept, as well as casual drawings and statements on ostraca (stone chips).
